Poems of Public Transit, Part 1 of ???
you gotta love that "bonfire of screaming headlines". I wonder if you would do me the honor of reading a poem of mine, "Rose Of All Roses"?
Read, liked, and commented-on over on your Substack, Weston. What a wonderful homage to that rose! Thank you for inviting me to read it, and for reading here.
I love these poem-shaped stories!
“Incident”
“The woman would ignite in a screaming bonfire of headlines “
Love this imaginative creative picture of turning into newsprint!
“Late Night in the number 5 Bus”
“He cradled his text..like a monk would his Book of Hours”.
So many interesting people to put in a your poems! I could clearly see this intense
young man.
He managed to be intense and exhausted at the same time! ❤️ to you sister Looocinda.
Love both poems. You bring your characters and the times alive. Thanks.
Praise indeed! Thanks for reading, Rose.
Luv your bus poems! My very favorite of all your poems is Return, written in 1997. A category itself.
Barb
"Return" is definitely its very own kind of a bus poem! It will make an appearance here someday, almost surely.
You are so very observant…
Observant plus imaginative equals ... anxious, on some days! 😊 Creative, on others. Thanks for reading, Shari.
You are most welcome.
Accessible, observational and wise
Thank you for reading (and for boosting this post in Notes), fellow Poet!
