My favorites are the first three, but I must say that I love them all. It’s a complete pleasure that your poems are part of my reading and seeing life now.
Many military brats will recognize that one. All are short and sweet, the paper sack dreaming of flight. Each one a curt, sharp pleasure leaving an indelible mark on me. That is what I call poetry. You can't hear it but I am clapping.
Gorgeous. Your footnote really made me laugh! “Light — a whispered word…” is my favorite, but "Envy" is beautiful; I think people liked it because it's lovely, not because it's short ;).
I liked all the short poems but my favorite was the untitled one about the effect of the sergeant's voice. Although I was never in the military, sounds that trigger body memories I understand. Thanks.
Having just been at the ranch delighting in our flitting little friends, I loved hummingbird the best. A close second was the wisteria one, as I also treasure the tromps up those blossom-covered brick steps. “Self-published” footnote made me chuckle. Having been a recipient of some in the past, happy to receive them! No forcible effort needed!
Such delightful reads! I've recently had a hummingbird visitor so that poem made me smile.
They're such fierce delicate little zoomers, aren't they?
I loved Envy!
"Envy" seems to be the winner from this set! Thanks so much for reading and commenting, Pat.
"Envy" was my favorite, "dreams the flight of origami birds." so good!
Thank you for reading and commenting, HONP!

I do hear it, Wes, and I'm grateful. And honored! 🙇🏼
Love these!
Thanks, Mike!
Took me ages to decide, but it has to be “Envy”. No wonder it’s popular!
"Envy" is getting a lot of votes! Thanks so much for reading (and restacking!), Maureen. 💛🌿
Lovely read. Who said good poems have to be long?
Who indeed?! Thanks for reading, Thomas.

If you say so, I believe it! ;-) Thanks, Margaret Ann. 💛🌿
All wonderful, but I really love Envy and the image there. I also love the haiku.
You're in good company, loving "Envy"! Thanks so much for reading, Amy. 💛🌿

"Sounds that trigger body memories..." Oh, my. Many a poem, many a twitchy journal entry.
Thanks so much for reading and commenting, Rose. 💛🌿
They are all wonderful, each in their own way.
💛🌿
I love these. They are like small delicious chocolate candies that melt in your mouth.
Yum ... ! Thanks so much for tasting them, LeeAnn. 😋
"Envy" is a masterpiece!
You're very kind! I'm glad it speaks to you, Kim. 💛🌿
These are gems! Thanks.
Thanks for reading! 💛🌿

Fun fact: I wrote a first draft of the hummingbird poem up at the Ranch! Glad somebody noticed the silly footnote -- thanks for mentioning that. 💛🌿
