What great writing! I loved the Dancing at the Grocery Store one best. The humanity in it. These human interactions. Very well captured.

Chiming in a week late here! (May be a pattern) These were delightful! A little slice of life of life in our hood. Love it. The elderly cashier's joke...ha! you must have been truly tickled when you heard that. That's too funny. Was it Mainland Market? They always have good music going. And winding aisles. Although I've never seen a white-haired checker there. Hmmm, where is it? So, did you ever stop in at the psychic who tried to get you to come in? Thanks for sharing!

It was MM! We must shop there during different checker shifts. 👋

Loved how you picked up on Clarissa silently waiting (or not) from a call from her daughter.

Your imagination has no limits. Adult children do not want unsolicited advice even couched

as “an important message” from their self proclaimed psychic mother.

Loved the i true story of the girl dancing up and down the grocery aisles. The checker’s sense of

humor was wonderful! Your poem made me feel like I was there shopping and watching this

spontaneous dancer.

Welcome any time! I can take you to the great cafe just a block from where I live. (It'll show up in a poem or two, no worries.)
