City birds, everywhere -- in the trees, on the sidewalks, in the poems.
“Faw
Pshaw their grinning beaks…blunt obsidian axe-blades”
Great crowsplaining!
The beauty of pigeons…”that twisted lariat of an air show…of wing and nature and ritual”…
I will be observing pigeons “in flight “ because of this poem!
Loved loved loved Street Crows! Happy to have found you. (I also write poetry, weave it into my Sub every now and again)
So glad you liked those rowdy crows, and thank you for the subscription! Looking forward to trading poems with you.
Wonderful wonderful poems!!
I am a corvidophile.
Despite that, I saw a crow repeatedly diving at a scrambling squirrel which fascinated but got me rooting for the squirrel.
Liked the phrase ‘twisted lariat.’
Loved both of these and couldn't help reading them aloud even before you recommended it. Oh, the pigeon and crow stories I could tell! Thanks for capturing their voice and movements for a moment!
Really nice job.
I admire your ability to describe moments, thoughts, and feelings so vividly.
